WANT TO BUY A RAOD BIKE - NeeD AdviseS

Hi friends,

I already have one Peerless PL 7000C, which I am using for morning rides usually for short distance of 10 - 15 km in the week days & unusually of long rides of 50-60 km in weekends as an hobby,

Now, I want to buy a new road bike, since I planned to go to my office by cycle which is at a distance of 24 Km[single way, 50 km both ways] via National high way.. 5days weekly[mon - friday]

I am 5 feet 9 inches taller,

I gone through many cycle models in many website like Trek 1.2, canyon roadlite, merida etc., But I cant able to choose the models which is suitable for me & for my situation,

I need to cover the 24 km distance in 1 hour for this i am practicing now to maintain/improve my pedalling speed and rpm, I need both smoothness in gear shifting, running & rigidity in the new bike

I expecting your suggestions on my idea and about the road bike model suitable for me..

@Sathya - Trek, Cannondale, Bianchi, Kona, Merida to name a few. And of course, that Willier that Aman is selling would be a great option if it fits.

I have a Wilier Evasion. Front and rear integrated carbon forks, full Shimano 105 groupset (10 speed), Fizik saddle, Shimano 500 wheels, 53cm frame (I'm 5'10" and it's perfect), ControlTech bar, 1 month old Continental Ultra Sport Wheels, also putting in a brand new Sigma speedometer with cadence meter.

Ride different bikes and get the one which feels the most comfortable.

I have been riding trek 1.2 for over a year now and its a great bike, the SORA shifters work fine except that you cannot up shift when in the drops, however 95% of my riding is done on the hoods so i do not have any issues with that. The bike is VFM

As for the frame size Karan has said it right 52cm or 54cm max

Since you are 5"9', go for a 52cm frame or 54 at the max
Get a budget in mind and see whats available in that range
Instead of trek 1.2, try for a 1.5
Read bikezone forums, many people have asked that question already
