Offroading... within the city... well, almost!
Who would have thought it... that one could enjoy a perfectly wonderful offroading experience so close to home – and that too, such a beautiful, serene ride – within a few kilometres of where I live (Mulund – a happy, happening suburb in Mumbai).
As usual, I have someone else to thank for this experience – this time, it was Jo (a quick intro is called for here - I guess I could call him a ship-and-shop guy – he’s an ex-merchant navy pro who’s now become something of a biking pro, thanks to his Firefox Bikestation in Hiranandani Meadows!)
Adding to the sense of adventure and the overall fun quotient of the ride were Kiran David and Joy Joseph, both creative gurus – the former a genius creator of ad films and documentaries and the latter a wizard at innovative engineering/fabrication creations.
So there we were, at 7:00am on a Sunday morning at the turnoff to Waagbeel from the Eastern Express Highway (or rather, the highway to Ahmedabad), a li'l way ahead of Suraj Water Park... yeah, while the world spends some cool times there, having some "water fun", we four rode right past to some equally cool "WHATTE FUN"...! :-)
A picture, they say, is worth a thousand words! So, instead of subjecting you to the excruciating torture of reading through 50,000 words of my “creative writing” (ha ha, now that's a good one!), let me just do my good deed for the day (yeah, I used to be a Boy Scout once...!) and let my pictures do all the talking... :-)
Main hoon Dawn! Dawn at Waagbeel
