Nigdi - Chakan - Talawade - Nigdi - ride of more than 40 kms

Today covered more than 40 km.s at a stretch after a couple of months.

The stretch covered today was - Nigd -> Telco road -> Bhosari -> Pune Nashik road -> Chakan -> Chakan Talegaon Road -> Chakan MIDC -> Talawade MIDC -> talawade Gaon -> Nigdi.

43 kms rougly. It took more than two hours - Primarily because Bhosari - Chakan stretch has manyascends & descends and this is the worst road as far as Traffic (non) sense is concerned. Since road dividers are stretched over long distances in length, many a vehicles (two - three - four - six & more wheelers.) take wrong way to go to their destinations . They come in your direction from your left hand side. So one has to be quite careful while riding This, combined with ascends, affects the speed & makes the ride somewhat tiring.

But the traffic conditions improve once you are on Chakan Talegaon road with less traffic albeit on a narrow road & things become heavenly once you turn left towards Chakan MIDC (Phase II etc). Well laid out and spacious roads till Talawade area where road condtions are pathetic but it's normal once you turn right to go to Nigdi.

None the less, an experience in itself. The 15 km strech from Bhosari to Chakan is tiring & irritating one but the one from Chakan MIDC is really cool.

The route is recommended to those on the look out of the new ones.
