had a nice mini ride today.
Peddar Road to Siddhivinayak temple and back.

But felt that the bike is talking a lot more. So maybe in need of servicing.

My question is:
How many km before we should service our bikes? Mine is a new Fomas Road King deluxe.. 1.25 months old.

Hi Abhishek, actually it depends on what type of rides uv had with ur bike & also type of road conditions uv crossed...so it all depends on the usage...

Should be an on-going process, I think - Daily, Weekly, Monthly schedule. But that's easier said than done. I prefer to do maintenance once a month - Bike usage is about 350-400kms per month.
Daily - I check tyre pressure, brakes, pads and cables, Inspect Crank, Cassette, F/R Derailleur and Chain.
Monthly - More or less rip everything apart, clean, lubricate, adjust. Did that just yesterday -
removed chain, cleaned and lubricated it.
removed rear wheel, cleaned wheel and cassette, cleaned wheel rim to remove brake pad gunk.
removed rear derailleur, dis-assembled, cleaned, lubricated, adjusted
removed front derailleur, dis-assembled, cleaned, lubricated, adjusted
cleaned crank and pedals
cleaned frame, front fork and front wheel.
Adjusted Brakes, Shifters.
I enjoy doing this.
