Rudolph,
Will the organisers provide rented cycles? I am from Pune and can't get my cycle to Mumbai
how can i register online??
Thanks Johann.Daniels, have finally obtained the information regarding registration and participation in the "Mumbai Cyclothon-2011" after great difficulty and inquiries. As mentioned, i personally went to "Landmark" at High Street Phoenix and paid Rs 382 for registration after filling in the form. Its bizarrely strange but true that the "Landmark" salespersonnel staff had no information of the conduction of the race or the procedure after registration.I had to go there twice and was finally told on the phone to contact customerservice@kyazoonga.com and call at(022) 4488 1000, the same as adressed by the website.
The format is as follows : 1) all participants who have registered by paying cash at "Landmark" retail outlets are to personally visit the "Mumbai cyclothon stall" at "Bandra Reclamation" on 11th or 12th between 1000hrs to 1800 hrs for registration and rules, regulations, etc.
2) The Forms should be brought along for registration confirmation.
Request the organisers to kindly make the participants registration procedure simpler for novices and first timers to participate.Manny lower economic strata of society participants would find it difficult to participate due to the lack of simple registration and participating instructions. Manny owners of cycles from lower economic backgrounds are not proficient with computers and given Mumbai's population, wouldn't be surprised if a future Indian international cyclist emerges from either the slums or lesser prividged sections of society.Events like the "Mumbai Cyclothon" create a stage for the discovery of talent, especially in the World's second most populous country.
