BSA-TFN 2010: Complete 8 days' Ride Report

Recently the BSA-Tour of Nilgiris 2010 got over after 100 riders completed 900 km through beautiful Niligiri mountains climbing 10 km each!

Which bicycle to choose? Raleigh RS100 or Hercules Torrent or peerless bike??

Friends,

I could not find suncross bikes near my locality. Since my height is 5.11, Hero Octane Recra is very small to my height. Hence, i am going for Raleigh RS100 or Hercules Torrent or peerless bike in 7k range. Please suggest me which one is good among the two and which one solves my height problem.

First ride on my Hero Octane Recra

Hi guys,

Well after a month of confusion, trials, etc yesterday I finally settled for Hero Octane Recra.

To start with it feels really amazing to be back on a cycle after leaving it some 8-9 years back.

I bought it from Sardar cycle stores at Dadar. I saw some brilliant cycles there but they were way over my budget!

Entrepreneurs:-Promoting Cycling on Mumbai Roads as a "Adventure Sport".

Fellow cyclists, as a regular cyclist since 2 decades i wonder as to the reasons of some savvy entrepreneur not having thought of promoting "Cycling' as a "adventure Sport" in Mumbai. Finally after a month of contemplating, searching, discussions and trials I have decided that I am going for a new Hero's Octane Recra. I am getting a fairly good deal and will be able to add some accessories too within my budget.

my first cycle ride... mumbai pune ride - december of 2010

hi all... i have been reading all the wonderfull & amazing stuff all of you have been doing and wondered if I could ever make it... given my 'stressful' schedule as a media professional, commuting 3 hrs to & fro from work in a local train.. but guess what.. I just didi it!

Which bicyle to buy in 8000 to 10000 budget? Is it worth the buy??

My height is 5.11. I want a bicycle to commute to office which is 8km away from my home. I want a very comfortable cycle which should be very easy to commute similar to bykes. Cycling to Work

Hi,

last week started pedalling to office. i. e.from Nigdi to Koregaon Park.

Distance of 40 kms. both ways.

Takes less than one hour to reach office (I leave for office by 7. 45) & while returning it takes around one & half hrs. ( including traffic jams, stoping at signals)

Exciting jorney.

My route - Nigdi -> Mumbai Pune Highway -> chinchwad -> Pimpri -> Dapodi -> Khadki Bazar -> Bombay…
