I had to decide between the merida Sub 5 and Sub 10 and the Trek 3700.
I bought the Trek 3700..
I am not bike expoert so cant talk too much about what why and what did i really see and buy it.. But I tried the Sub 10 and the 3700 and me and my wife just liked the 3700..
It just felt better when riding it..

MTB Sikkim 2009 - 2nd Khangchendzonga Expedition - was set up with the same format as MTB Himachal, each day consisting of 2/3 competitive stages with freerides in between along the route.
About half the whole route was on tarmac, the rest on stony mountain tracks, and a couple of singletrack "hike n bike" sections.
The landscape was magnificent and the Buddhist culture, with ancient monasteries, stupas, prayer flags everywhere fluttering in the wind, made one feel one was in a… Continue

Good fun riding to Marine Drive yesterday...
Finally got some time off client projects and decided to go for a quick morning ride yesterday. Since Friday was Ram Navami, there was far less traffic on the roads. Weather was pretty decent too (till about 9am). I left at 6.15 am from Santacruz.
Since I'd already ridden to the central, western, eastern and northern suburbs, South Mumbai was the only way to go. I initially planned to cycle to Haji Ali and back. But once I… Continue

I decided that Sunday would be a good time to go to Panvel and look for those famous vada pao vendors. I set off at about 7am, and finally came back to Bandra at 8pm or so. I went through Chembur to Panvel, then to the Goa highway and finally towards Uran to Palm Beach road and finally through Vashi back to Bandra.
A map of my route is here
. This is not exactly what I followed - i lost my way in and around Panvel and Uran a few… Continue

I started at 4.15 am on Saturday, Feb 28, 2009, from Pune. The Dehu-road traffic was frightful but the highway was still manageable. The climate was very pleasant with minimal traffic on NH4 till 6 am. Encountered pleasant expressions/gestures from joggers on the Lonavala-Khandala stretch. I enjoyed the Khandala-Khopoli ghat most, as it was total downhill of 10 KM.
I crossed Vashi at around 11 am and reached Kings Circle at 12:40 pm. I had my lunch and much needed break at kings… Continue

Hi Guys, Came to know of this site when I decided to take my nephew cycling to Bandra on the 8th or March. On my way I met some members who told me about this site and asked me to join. So here I am.
Cycling was something I learnt at the age of 5 and eventually gave up when I joined Engineering. The daily routines of life took its toll and after over 10 yrs of working, I realized that I had gained a lot of weight and couldnt even decently walk a kilometer. I decided to so something… Continue

Offroading... within the city... well, almost!
Who would have thought it... that one could enjoy a perfectly wonderful offroading experience so close to home – and that too, such a beautiful, serene ride – within a few kilometres of where I live (Mulund – a happy, happening suburb in Mumbai).
As usual, I have someone else to thank for this experience – this time, it was Jo (a quick intro is called for here - I guess I could call him a ship-and-shop guy – he’s an… Continue

Life does take some strange turns... even when you are not on the saddle...
Take last week, for instance... there I was, all set to join the gang for a ride to Kanheri Caves on Sunday... wondering what route to take - do I go to the start point? join them at Sanjay Gandhi National Park? if so, go via Aarey? or take Ghodbunder Road?
And suddenly, I hit a hairpin bend - instead of heading west and north towards Kanheri Caves, I was suddenly headed east and south... towards… Continue

Dear Guys & Girls,
I am new to this community. I like the idea of cycling and checking out places. I need your opinions, i just bought a Hamilton 24 inches with front and rear suspensions with 6 gears. This is primarily for my daughter, my wife and myself.
I would like to know if it is a good brand or not? also would be grateful if anyone could tell me if this cycle is good enough and comfortable for long rides.
Thank you guys and girls in advance!! I hope… Continue
