Hindustan Times cyclists that ride to work photoshoot 9:30 am sunday Bandra Kurla Complex

i'm sure there are many among us cycling to work. i'm at that on fridays and saturdays, and it sure beats the boredom and pace of motorised transport. my concern would probably be the same as Mehul's…

Hi VI,

This post is just about the experience of a amateur cyclist...

Do read the write up done on SportzPower.com First Mumbai Cyclothon declared a grand success http://www.sportzpower.com/?q=content/first-mumbai-cyclothon-declared-grand-success

Endorsed by the cycling legend, Eddy Merckx, a five-time Tour De France winner and recipient of the highest honors in cycling, the cyclothon was guided under the medical supervision of John Gloster, physio – Rajasthan Royals and Victor Popov, five-time official physio of Tour De France and consultant physio to the Australian Cricket Team.

Hi Kaustubh,
How are your days on the bicycle going? Do you find time between job and weekly trips to Pune? We should ride out together on a morning.
CM takes place last saturday of every month...so 27th of Feb this time.

Not too sure whether that was me you spotted cycling...in the past month I've never gone beyond Powai (or on the EE) except for that one ride to Nariman Point couple of weeks back. I'm generally riding the WE Highway, or along JVLR, or inside Aarey. Rode to Kanheri Caves inside Sanjay Gandhi Ntl Park just yesterday, which was a fabulous experience.

Pakistan takes its wrath on Indian cyclists

http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/sports/more-sports/cycling/Pak-cycling-body-drops-India-from-Tour-de-Pakistan/articleshow/5599885.cms

This is not a very healthy way to encourage cycling in either of the countries. An eye for an eye...

But I'm also surprised that Pakistan sees cycling as a sport prominent enough to make

Placebo punctures

"You've got a flat, dude", said Faisal, and went rolling by. It was high sun, 12 in the noon, and a flat would be a wrong end to a sweet day with the others inside Sanjay Gandhi National Park. The thought of riding through the congested Western Express Highway and the constant sewer stink along half of the route was still more palatable than either taking an autorickshaw or finding a repairman. As it was, I was traveling light...nothing on me, and nothing on the bicycle either. So no spare tubes… Continue

Back to the office in a green way

Phew, just got back from the office. And yes, back cycling - at 0300AM through Hiranandani and then along JVLR. It was my first day at the office on a bicycle since my accident en-route the office in the first week of December last yr. The total distance is close to 9km, and it took me 26 minutes to make it back. That is a good time for two reasons; firstly, since cycling in office semi-formals does get uncomfortable (jeans isn't a cyclist's attire); secondly coz the route back is uphill, and in… Continue

Cycling along Pros

Sometime in January, 2010, 0000AM
I'm cycling back from my cousin's, cycling across the vast emptiness to my left, where lie the jungles that make up fringes of Sanjay Gandhi National park. I spot something shining floating mid-air. Closer, and it turns out to be an outfit. Closer, there's a woman inside that outfit. Closer, and the woman multiplies into 5 women, queuing up on the pavement, as if it were an exhibition.
