Hey .. The dates and times are mentioned. Saturday it is in the evening.. and sunday the morning. There are no charges - they just want people to come... and ride along.. it will be great PR for cyclists and for u. :-)

Greenathon - Ride with Milind Soman - a drive by NDTV

Hi

NDTV (New Delhi Television) has launched Greenathon, a nationwide campaign to clean up and protect our environment. This campaign will culminate on 6th and 7th March '10 with 24-hour campaigns around the country to clean up our neighbourhoods. Apart from the clean up drives and other celebrity initiatives, we will have noted model and actor Milind Soman running 100 km within the city to create awareness about this cause. Take Your own time to do this , dont get impulsive with peer pressure & suddenly buy anything , i have regretted on this earlier ..so now i help others in buying the right type of cycle to others , if we buy something that dosent suit us then we tend to loose intrest in the activity :) ,
Cycling should be fun & Comfortable tooo ....then only it will keep u going .

I am preparing for Cycle Expedition to Solang to Leh Starting on Aug 20 2009 to 2 Sep 2009.

This cycling expedition takes us over the Himalayan range from the southern lush green valley of Manali in Himachal Pradesh to the arid high mountain desert of Ladakh. The dramatic changes in the landscape are best enjoyed on this cycling journey. The journey takes us over some high passes, such as Rohtang Pass, Baralacha La, Nakee La, Lachung La & Tanglang La. Tanglang La is the second highest motor able pass in the world at 5360m / 17585ft, next only to Khardung La. The climax of the expedition is to finish the journey by cycling to WORLDS HIGHEST MOTORABLE ROAD POINT – KHARDUNG LA’ – 5602m / 18380 ft.
While passing through the small villages in Lahaul on the banks of Chandra & Bhaga rivers, through the peas & potato fields to no man land & never ending plateaus of Sarchu & Pang, to the flat deserted plains of Indus valley, we cross over from Kullu district to Lahaul district of Himachal & finally into Ladakh after crossing Baralacha La. Interaction with the locals and the nomads on the way only enhances our experience to a real unforgettable moments of Life !

keep in touch with this website and you will know everything the ride known as Critical Mass is usually held on the last sat of the month. yes there are also cycle rentals you have to look out for the address in the cm page where all the phone nos and addresses of the shops are mentioned.
about the cycle its your personal veiw on which one to buy or not and what type of budget you have or want to spend, i look at it this way as to how much you are going to ride too, cycles start from Rs 3500/- and go and go way up eg 5k 8k 10k 20 k 30 k and even 1 lac
anyway i will or can be in touch with you only on the net as from tomorrow 4th april i am leaving for delhi for a month and will be back after the 5th april, want be there for the april ride too regards and happy riding.
