Profile Information

My current bike model / type:
Scott Speedster S50/ Olmo Italian Steel bike / Surly Cross Check/ Cinelli Man-Machine
My favourite ride so far:
Tour of Nilgiris/ Tour-de-Mumbai...../ Ride to Vajreshwari.... more to come
A bit about myself:
I was in love with two wheels right from childhood, used to get cycles on rent for hrs together then I bought my 1st ride a MTB Rock shock (front). Used it for a Long Long time till it lay in rust & pain, then sold it. Another set of two wheels then took on to me(honda unicorn). Now i'm finding myself intrigued by Cycles again.

Now... I can't get over my desires of spending on my bicycles.... I'm going crazy over them.... god help me

My Rides

11 Oct 08,
Today I'm really satisfied with my performance...I rode from Home till Marve & back taking the longest route. It was an endurance test & till the last leg was riding at comfortable cadence. The last leg from Inside-Industrial area till Home was intense & rode with my max capacity. I'm feeling so fresh & confident, I'm lucky I still have much stamina left in me from my foot ball days :).

<4 - 10 Oct 08>
Finally after much confusion bought a Trek 3700 ( Yipee :) )....& my first long ride after quite some time From FireFox Malad to My Home in Charkop. It was difficult riding such a light bike 1st time. & since my arms were by now used to the heavy Unicorn handle bar. Also my buttocks...which are used to much more comfort :). Anyway from about D'Mart till home, simply enjoyed my ride. & I've been enjoying it since then every morning for abt 30-45mins. Till date some 5 people have asked me abt my bike :). I can feel my macho thighs & calf again...Well I was an active Foot Ball player. Planning to go for longer rides as soon as I'm done with my new Fish Tank.

Like most of you; I enjoyed my childhood cycling, having fun, doing stunts...& the general feeling of freedom ;). For me Cycling has always been Freedom & Fun. Entering college saw the last days for my cycle & gave it away, expecting… Continue

Hi Kaushik, 2 Boxes were made for each cycle out of Corrugated Plastic sheets. 1 for both wheels and other for frame. I used bubble sheet for further protection. Cycle about 10 Kg and box other stuff totalling to just about 20Kg. I carried saddle bags on board.

I really enjoyed your company made the time go by quickly. Let us know if you are doing any rides as it would be great to ride with you again.

While I'm happy to have finished the 200kms BRM, I'm also disappointed with my performance. I guess it comes from years of casual riding and commuting. I need to really improve my pace and riding technique. Also need to streamline... no backpack etc. Since I have a fairly decent road bike, I need to do justice.

Thanks to you and Prabudha for stopping and asking whether I needed help with the tyre change yesterday. Really appreciate the camaraderie. Cheers!
