Ok so next I would like to know how does one decide on a bike and what are basic things one checks before buying it. One thing, on a quick look, I din't find any price tag on any of the bikes, it would be there, may be a patient look would get me that.

I am at present in Kanpur, UP, but would soon be in either Bangalore or Gurgaon. Probably mid-september. As of cycling I used to ride to school and had a BSA ladybird, then in class 10. Since then I got a Zing, scooty, and left cycling. Now I have developed a passion for cycling and want to nourish it, Luckily cities I'd be moving to in near future are good for cycling, Kanpur is not a place for this, except some institutes like IIT, cycling is more of a lost sport here...
Well it would be fun to learn cycling..
As of budgets and requirements I am not clear on that,( I hope thats the prime reason I can't find one online.. else I would have binged one till now.) I would be thankful in case you could redirect me to some link which shows most of the available options and has reviews etc.. to help me decide.
I think you could definitely help me with this..
