That's sad. Hope the murderers are caught nd shown no mercy whatsoever. Night is the time for all psychopaths, alcoholics nd assholes to get out nd roam teh streets. Early morning might be the best time to ride since the air is fresh nd all the psychic elements are dead in bed by then. While we were on our way to Harne from Thane, we came across 2 teams around 5.30 am who are regular on that circuit nd do cycling only in teh mornings. Tat's a gud way to go abt. Whot say?

This is terrible... I hope the murderers are caught and punished soon.
My condolences to both Tarun's and his friend's families. May God help them through this difficult time.

I can not begin to grasp how anyone can even consider doing something like this in his wildest imagination. I really hope these people are traced. This is not even accidental.

Posting this here incase someone has contact with the hyundai service centre in thane area(just in case)

Dear All,
My brother, Tarun Venkateswaran, with handle "tachometer" on Team-BHP was killed early morning on 7th September 2009 by a hit & run driver on Palm Beach road, Navi Mumbai.

On Sunday night, Tarun had not returned home even after 2am, which prompted my dad to ask me to look for him. I found Tarun & his friend along with his bike, bleeding profusely with head injuries & unconscious. They were found off the road, inside the bushes after scanning the road several times with my bro's friends.

When I rushed my bro & his friend to the hospital, the doctor mentioned that he could have saved them if I had found them earlier. After being hit on the side, their bike was thrown off the road, into thick vegetation, making it difficult for passers-by to spot or help them.

After surveying the spot several times, the Police & I have collected evidence about the killer car. It is a White Hyundai Accent. The bike is relatively intact on the back, which means they were not rear ended but bumped off the side. From the parts of the car we found, it appears that the car lost control & spun around, sustaining damage to its back side. The car would be missing its rear windshield, broken tail lights & impact marks on the side as they flattenned several barricade poles after losing control.

My sincere request to Mumbai Team-BHPians to look out for this White Hyundai Accent as it might to some garage or the other for repairs. "

To promote an awareness against Global Warming/Climate Change. In a day and age where

consequences of global warming and climate change are rapidly unfolding, people across

the globe are opting to cycle as an alternative mode of transport rather than drive to a

vehicle or get public transport. It is time all of us revert back to a simpler lifestyle

this will be the first step towards combating global warming by reducing atmospheric

carbon levels. Together we can save our Planet. Snacks will be provided after the drive.

Pls RSVP. Thanks a lot.

Hello Bikers,

Request you to kindly add your weekend ride plans(with one persons contact no.) in the event section every week hereon so that I can forward the info to members on our googlegroup(Mumbai-bikers) as well who are not regular users of the website. I have only limited my advise to your budget. If there is scope for expansion then there are other buying options.

Goodluck, Ride safe
