Event Description

People seem to like riding to Kashid the easy way... :-) And those who missed it the last time are keen too... so, here it is, again... on Saturday, the 13th..

Mumbai to Kashid via Gateway of India... we'll take the first ferry (6:15am) across to Mandwa and then cycle along the scenic green stretch via Kihim and Alibaug to Kashid.. :-)
Lunch at Kashid... then we ride back the same way and catch the 5.30-6.00pm (last) ferry back to Gateway of India...

Start time: 6.00am, 31st October
Meet-point: Gateway of India, Ferry (reach early, buy ferry tickets for your bike and yourself) and assemble at the Ferry departure point...

Be on time... we'll be taking the first ferry across, and can't afford to wait / stay back for anyone... so if you miss the first ferry, take the next one... and be prepared to ride real hard to catch up with the group! :-)

For details/clarifications.. call on 9820636364... :-)

Tushar... we'll each be paying for our own expenses.. :-)
Ferry ticket (one-way) for self - Rs 65 by Ajanta
Ferry charge for bike (each way) - approx. 40 to 100 (yeah, we have to bargain each time!) :-)
+ whatever expense you may incur on eating/drinking during the day... :-)
we'll be back on the last (6.15pm) ferry from Mandwa...

Parth, we'll be taking the 6.15am ferry from Gateway of India to Mandwa... and then cycling via Kihim and Alibag... Kashid is about 25-30km south of Alibag...
the total distance from Mandwa to Kashid is approx 50km... that's about 2.5 to 3 hrs of continuous riding...
none of us are into racing (or even cycling pros, for that matter)... but we are used to riding such distances... and since you've done about 140 km in 2 weeks, you should be able to do this distance too... :-)
