Event Description

Hey all,

Here is what's happening in the cycling world in November from 13-16th, 2010. The race is around the Corbett National Park.

Whether you are crossing the Kosi river, riding through Sitabani forest or around Corbett Tiger Reserve you are going to be left asking for more as nature’s beauty takes you on a literal high. We invite you to the MTB India challenge scheduled for November 14-17, 2010.

Designed as a professional race series, with standards and support paralleling international events, it aims at meeting and surpassing your expectation. This being the year of the Tiger, we support the cause by bringing the first race to Corbett National Park’s Tiger reserve.

Race covers approximately 400kms over 4 days, with quite a challenge awaiting you on the first three days, starting in Ramnagar.

Comment by Kavitha Kanaparthi on July 24, 2010 at 6:37am: Here is the terrain info: Through the forest, packed mud hills, some tarmac, river beds, and trails with stumps and leaves. The second and third days will have steep climbs, and the fourth will be a lot of downhill on single track with hair-pin and sharp bends. Route charts and total elevation will be available by November 1, 2010, closer to the event so that we recheck all or any road blocks due to rock blasting and/or road repairs, and any unmanageable river water levels.
